Sweeney Cattle Company

Our Story

Raising Cattle Since 1969

A few years after graduating high school, James purchased cattle lots down the road from his parents dairy farm. James then started his career of feeding out cattle and raising his family. He then expanded to our current farm and was feeding around 900 head of cattle for many years before purchasing his first group of bred heifers.

Today, Sweeney Cattle Co. raises more than 100 Cow-Calf pairs of both show and commercial stock. Those of which are owned and managed by James, Luke, Eric, and Josh (McGill).

There are many hands that help make this operation possible and that will continue to help our family raise high quality cattle.
